Disguised New Tesla Model at Fremont is 20 Centimeter Shorter Compact Model Y

Youtube Channel Met God in Wilderness flew a drone over Tesla Fremont and spotted a disguised new Tesla Model. It had its front and rear covered.

Tesla is expected to release a new lower priced model in the first half of 2025. This would mean revealing the new model by the end of June 2025.

Chatgpt says the new disguised cars is 20 centimeters shorter.

If 1 wheel diameter ≈ 27 inches (68.6 cm):

Current Model Y:

4.6×27 inches=124.2 inches4.6 \times 27 \text{ inches} = 124.2 \text{ inches}4.6×27 inches=124.2 inches ≈ 315.5 cm

Camouflaged Model:

4.3×27 inches=116.1 inches4.3 \times 27 \text{ inches} = 116.1 \text{ inches}4.3×27 inches=116.1 inches ≈ 295 cm

The camouflaged Tesla (second image) does appear to be shorter than the current Model Y (first image).

The tire size and roofline angle help confirm this, especially with the shorter rear overhang and tighter body proportions visible in the camouflaged prototype. This could suggest a refreshed Model Y with a slightly more compact footprint — possibly for efficiency, cost, or design reasons.

Let’s assume the wheels are standard 19-inch Tesla wheels, which are ~27 inches (68.6 cm) in total outer diameter when including tires.

In the first image (silver Model Y), the overall length of the car visually spans about 4.6 wheel diameters.

In the second image (camouflaged prototype), the overall length is closer to 4.3 wheel diameters.

Below, I have the cost and specification analysis.
